India won the series by 2-1.

India lost the initial momentum by the run-out of Captain and dismissal of K Rahul, but the trio of Dhoni, Yuvraj and T-20 Expert Raina made sure that run rate did not dropped down and on time to time pulled off boundaries and sixes to put on the pressure back on the bowlers.

Chahal dismissed Morgan on 3rd ball of the 14th over at a team score of 119, on the very next bowl he dismissed the dangerous becoming player Root on individual score of 42. After the falling down of these two wickets the English team collapsed like a deck of cards and gave away their 8 wickets in mere 8 runs and settled for 127 runs in 16.3 Overs.
