With just one more round of fixtures left in the Premier League, we have four teams who can make it to next season’s Uefa Champions League alongside Chelsea and Spurs. So let’s take a look at what each team needs to do in order to make it.
- Manchester City: –
The citizens look like the favourites for the third spot and need at least a draw away to Watford to book their place among Europe’s elite. They can only be denied qualification if they suffer a defeat at Watford and Arsenal and Liverpool both win and moreover Arsenal’s win is big enough to create a goal difference of at least 5.
2. Liverpool :-
Jurgen Klopp’s team need to better Arsenal’s result against Everton to return to Europe’s elite competition after two seasons. Considering it is a home game against Middlesborough who are already relegated one would consider Klopp’s side should get the job done.
3. Arsenal :-
The gunners have been in the top 4 for quite some time but it looks like they will fall short this time around. Not only do the gunners need to win big against Ronald Koeman’s Everton which is easier said than done and also need Man city or Liverpool to at least draw their game.
There could also be five English teams in the UCL for the first time if Manchester United defeat Ajax at the Friend’s Arena in Stockholm later this month
