UEL Final : Mourinho’s Ultimate Test

Finally, the day has come for which the supporters of the world’s most followed club have been waiting with anxiety and expectation. Today when the final of European football’s second tier kicks off, it is fair to say that Ajax will hope and United will expect.

Man-Uinted-team-minUnited have been breaking the bank continuously since Sir Alex’s departure but have failed to rediscover their lost form and spirit. This season they made world record signing of Paul Pogba, signed arguably Bundesliga’s best talent in Henrikh Mikhtariyan  and of course the charismatic Zlatan Ibrahimovic among others but they have terribly failed in the final third leading to a string of draws that saw them finish sixth even after one of the best unbeaten runs ever in the premier league but it will all be forgiven if Mourinho manages to make it to the UCL by beating Ajax tonight in Stockholm.

For Ajax, it is a chance to claim a much-needed continental silverware before bigger clubs come and plunder their squad of its rich array of talent. Mourinho by nature will try to stop Ajax from playing their free-flowing football and try to hit on the counter. Therefore if Ajax is to begin a new chapter in their history they will need to confident, clever and careful against one of the most shrewd managers of all time.

Key Players:

Man U: Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford

Ajax: Kasper Dolberg and Davinson Sanchez

Match will start at 12:15 AM(IST) and 6:45 PM(GMT).
