Match Preview: Mexico vs New Zealand

The high-flying Mexican team take on the New Zealand in a fixture where there could be a giant-killing on the cards for the Kiwis as they look to pull off an upset by going away with a point or more from this fixture. Having been defeated by the host nation Russia 2-0, The New Zealanders will look to Winston Reid for motivation as they plan to shut out the high-flying Mexican attack.

The Mexicans will be hoping to win their first game in this edition of Confederation’s Cup themselves, as they drew 2-2 to Portugal in an evenly contested match which saw the brand new VAR system work in their favour.

The Kiwis are predicted to go with the fashionable 5-3-2 formation which will see them have 2 Center Halves and one sweeper at the back. The strike force are yet to produce a goal in the tournament and will be eager to get off the mark.

Will Mexico stomp through The Kiwis or is there an upset, possibly a giant killing on the cards? Perhaps, only time will tell.
