A report by La Gazzetta Dello Sport in Italy claims that Marco Verrati will wait to see if PSG can make a few landmark signings to make them a strong contender for the Champions League next season before deciding on his move to Barca. Although this report has been rubbished by Verrati but the journalist who wrote the article, Alessandro Grandesso still stands by it. There were also reports suggesting Verrati had a dinner with Lionel Messi in Ibiza a few weeks ago which was also denied by the Italian.
According to reports in Europe, Verrati seems to have realised that his career has come to a standstill in Paris and he feels that the time is right to make a move to a club of Barca’s stature. The problem is that his contract at the Parisian outfit runs till 2021 and PSG are adamant that their star midfielder labelled by many as an heir to Barca legend Xavi is not for sale at any price. This means the probability of the transfer rests solely on Verrati forcing and ugly exit from PSG.
With a move for Dortmund’s Dembele also fading away, Barca is expected to fight till the end for the Italian. All in all this saga is expected to continue for some time as of now.
According to us:-
Expected Transfer Fee: Around 80 to 100 million euros
