Breaking news: James Rodriguez leaves Madrid

Bayern Munich has confirmed the signing of Columbian captain James Rodriguez on a two-year loan deal from Real Madrid with an option to buy him at the end of this spell, the German champions confirmed through their official Twitter handle.

James had joined Real Madrid after terrific performances in Fifa World Cup 2014 in Brazil but had been on the brink of an exit since last season as Zidane clearly trusted Bale and Isco above him. His departure was imminent considering his lack of match time and clear display of frustration on being substituted in a few La Liga games but it seems the Blancos are still reluctant to completely let go of the player considering his abilities and  hence a loan move is an ideal solution that gives James a chance to show his potential and maybe make his way into Real’s team in the future if there is a highly unlikely exit of  Ronaldo or Bale or maybe fetch a three figure transfer fee.

In either case, Bayern must be praised for the swiftness of the deal considering the player was wanted by both Manchester United and Chelsea.
