England vs South Africa 4th Test: Preview

Preview

The fourth and final test of the series starts on 4th August, Friday. At the moment England are ahead in the series 2-1 and cannot be defeated. South Africa go in with their work cut out to win the match and level the series. While the lions can certainly experiment in this match as they have already retained the trophy, South Africa will look to go all out and win the match at any costs.

Its a great challenge for England also. England have not won the last match of a series since 2014. To overcome this feat and change this stat, England players have pumped up their training sessions and are ready for anything that might come their way.

South Africa have to overcome some of their own internal problems before stepping out on the pitch. Their collapse on the second day of the previous match might be an area which they would like to address. Lack of experience in the middle order is a big weakness which England bowlers are loving to exploit.

Pitch Forecast

Usually, the pitch at Old Trafford offers good bounce and bite to the spinners but it would not provide mush spin. The top surface might wear out heavily as the game progresses.
