Is Coutinho saga nearing it’s conclusion

There could be some late drama in the long standing Coutinho to ‘Camp Nou’ saga as the transfer window nears its end.

According to Bleacher Report “Philippe Coutinho has been told he will be a Barcelona player before the end of this week after Liverpool agreed a British and Spanish record transfer fee for the Brazil international. Barca will pay up to €160million for the attacking midfielder if all performance-related variables are met.”

Coutinho has not started for the Reds since submitting an official transfer request after Liverpool had rejected Barca’s second bid. pri_37395052.jpg

It now seems that Liverpool has resigned to the fact that there is no use of keeping an unhappy player in their ranks and cashing in on him in this highly inflated market is the best option. Liverpool has also started the season on the front foot having disposed Hoffenheim to book a place in Champions League group stage and comfortably beating Arsenal 4-0 without Coutinho. Therefore it may be wise to use the cash to bring in 2 or 3 quality players and improve their chances of a silverware in the coming seasons.
