Is It The Right Time For Real To Bench Benzema?

‘ Sometimes You Have To Accept The Fact That Certain Things Change And They Don’t Remain What They Used To Be.’ Same can be said about Real’s Number 9 Karim Benzema.

If four years ago someone had asked about world’s best striker, one of the first thought would have been Benzema, But things have changed ever since.

Last season the Frenchman only managed to bag 11 goals in Liga,a , which is even fewer than ‘Morata’ who was number second to Benzema, and a club of Real’s level can’t afford an inconsistent number 9 , but thanks to their talisman ‘Ronaldo’ who is constantly giving them 40+ goals every season.

But with Ronaldo heading towards his mid 30’s, Real Madrid’s board should start panicking and sign a new striker as soon as possible. Benzema had been linked with many clubs across Europe for past few seasons, but strong French connections with club legend and current manager ‘Zinedine Zidane’ certainly help him and he is getting many chances.

With new young sensations like Isco, Asensio, Vasquez  showed up in last few seasons , Real already has a strong bench, and their benched players deserve more playing time ahead of inconsistent Benzema. Ronaldo can play as a center forward with Isco in mid and Asensio and Bale (or Lucas Vasquez) on wings in a 4-3-3 system .

In the last game against Valencia , Benzema had seven shots out of which only one is on target and missed a open goal , which leads to two dropped points for madrid in start of the season.

Now Zidane has to think over again and should give bench warmers more game time and bench Benzema at least for few upcoming games.

What do you think? Should youngsters get chance or not?  Let us know in the comment box.
