Frank De Boer has entered the record books for the worst reason possible as he becomes the first manager in Premier League era to be sacked just after four games in charge at Selhurst Park.
De Boer suffered four defeats from his four Premier League matches in charge against Huddersfield, Liverpool, Swansea and Burnley respectively, in which Palace failed to score even a single goal. They are the first team in 93 years to have begun a league season in such a fashion.
Palace had set their sights on former manager Sam Allardyce as a replacement but it seems he is not willing to take over. This means that former England manager Roy Hodgson is the favourite to take over.
It will be interesting to see whether this decision will help Crystal Palace revive their season.
