US OPEN: A Brief Story Of Success

As we come to the end of the third grand slam championship that was held from Aug 22 to Sep 10, We have a few shocking and interesting events that took place..In the men’s singles event we have the Spaniard, The number one seed and The best top spinner of the world RAFAEL NADAL securing his 16th grand slam title. He said that he was really glad to win his 16th major title in an event such as the US OPEN. He faced the 28th seed South African K.Anderson who actually fought very well to secure his place in the championships finals but wasn’t able to stand to Nadal’s exceptional game. Nadal won in three straight sets 6-3 6-3 6-4 with real ease.

Some say that the final was one sided! But in actual it was a match that had jam packed full form action. In the Women’s singles segment we have a very unexpected winner! The America unseeded S.Stephens beat the 15th seed M.Keys in two straight sets which was a very disappointing loss to the 15th seed. Stephens was always one notch above Keys in the entire match. Be it serve or return Stephens was the dominant one. She acquired the victory with a score of 6-3 6-0. The match was a feast indeed. In the men’s doubles segment we have the team of the Romanian H.Tacau and J.Rojer from Netherland winning against F.Lopez and M.Lopez in two straight sets with the score of 6-4 6-3.
