According to various reports by Daily Mail and Sky Sports, Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski is ‘pushing through a deal’ to Real Madrid whom he called “team of his dreams”, in the barbed words of Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Robert Lewandowski has instructed his agent to push through a move from Bayern Munich to Real Madrid, according to AS.
The Polish striker gathered a lot of media attention this summer when he questioned why the German champions didn’t match the spending of Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.
Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge then added fuel to the flame by mentioning in an interview with German newspaper Bild that Real Madrid was ‘the club of Lewandowski’s dreams’.
The 29-year-old has been in prolific form since his switch from Borussia Dortmund back in 2014 — netting a remarkable 117 times in just 153 matches and 40+ goals in last two seasons.
Although the summer transfer window has closed, the striker hopes to play alongside Ronaldo after a quick winter transfer deal or the next summer.
As things stand, the Real Madrid board does not sanction purchases of players aged over 30.
And as per the rumors, Los Blancos are keen on a move for RB Leipzig star Timo Werner but Lewandowski, who will be 30 next summer, is adamant that his agent persists.
As unrest grows, its very hard to guess where things might end up as this deal is a bit ‘complicated’.
