Real Madrid defender Pepe has named the one Barcelona player he would sign for his club if he could.
Switching between Barca and Real is not taken lightly by fans of both clubs and Luis Figo found out as much when he left the Camp Nou for the Bernabeu in 2000, by means of a pig’s head.
Instead of this fact Cadena Ser still asked Pepe who he would take to Madrid with him if given the chance.
Surprisingly, the Portuguese overlooked the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar or Luis Suarez, instead choosing his compatriot Andre Gomes, despite the player not making a single appearance for Barca so far this season.
“No, I think we’re alright… Andre Gomes? Yes, we played together in the national team, but he wanted to go to Barcelona,” he said, via Sport, when asked which Barcelona player he would sign for Madrid.
Pepe and Gomes were both part of the Euro 2016 winning Portuguese national side.
