The star attacking duo of PSG were implicated in an on-field spat when they argued about who should take a penalty during the 2-0 Ligue 1 win over Lyon last month.
Reports also suggested that PSG even offered Cavani a 1 million Euro bonus to give up the penalty duties to avoid the incident happening again.
But according to the Paris Saint-Germain defender and Brazilian International Marquinhos, such behaviour is normal.
“The conflict with Cavani is normal,” he said in an interview with ESPN.
And team-mate Marquinhos says head coach Unai Emery should be pleased to have the problem for the coach to have two players who are desperate to inspire their side.
“It’s a good problem for the coach to have two players with that responsibility, who want to be a part of that moment.”
“They are great players and it’s all fitting together in the best way.” said Marquinhos in his interview ahead of Brazil’s World Cup Qualifier with Chile on Tuesday.
Neymar has enjoyed a solid start since his 222 million Euros move to PSG and has already scored as many as 8 times in all competetions.
