India Qualifies For The AFC Asian Cup 2019

India qualifies for The Asian Cup for the 4th time previously being qualified in 2011. They defeated Macau 4-1 in Sree Kantirava Stadium, Bengaluru. Pretty high hopes from India as they are showing a lot of potential to achieve greater heights in Football.

Rowlinn Borges scored the first goal for India only to be equalised by a header from Nicholas Torrao 10 minutes later. The Second Half was dominated by India as Sunil Chhetri scored a goal assisted by Balwant Singh who was brought onto the field in the second half. A weird own goal was scored by Lam Seng deflecting the cross from Halicharan Narzary and a 92th-minute goal was scored by Jeje sending India to the AFC Asian Cup 2019.

The AFC Asian Cup is a big opportunity for India to raise the bar and reach the next level in football, Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best as India continues to build steps towards becoming a great football team.
