Once again, the Baddies have made the India proud. Indian shuttlers HS Prannoy & 5 times Super Series title winner Kidambi Srikanth etched their names in history when they sealed a semi-final spot at Yonex French Open. They became the first Indian Men to reach the Semifinals of French Open Super Series. World No.2 shuttler PV Sindhu also advanced to the women’s singles semi-finals of 2017 French Open Super Series in Paris on Friday.
In Quarter-Finals Kidambi Srikanth surprised defending champion Yuqi Shi, by a great comeback after losing the first set by 21-8 and then winning the third set by 9-21. After defeating Yuqi, Srikanth registered 35 wins to his name, surpassing Lin Dan(34) to win highest number of matches in 2017.
HS Prannoy, the badminton sensation came to semis after defeating Hyeok Jin Jeon in two straight sets with the score of 21-16 and 21-16.
PV Sindhu will be also in action tonight in semi-final. She defeated chinese player Yufie Chen in straight two sets. She will face Japenese player Akane Yamaguchi in semi-finals , who knocked out Saina Nehwal in 2nd round of the ongoing super series.
