Indian skipper Virat Kohli has set an another historic benchmark in the ODI history. Kohli’s star innings of 113 runs from 106 balls studded with 9 boundaries and a lone six against the Kiwis make him achieve this feat. This was Kohli’s 32nd ODI hundred, 5th against New Zealand and 6th in the year alone.
Kohli is now the fastest cricketer to surpass the 9000 runs benchmark, completing it in just 194 innings which is 11 innings less than the nearest competitor AB de Villiers. Interestingly, out of the fastest 5 players to reach the 9K runs benchmark, 3 are Indians.
