As we continue analyzing each group ahead of the FIFA WORLD CUP 2018 Draw, we look deep into Group C and what’s in for the teams.
France find themselves lucky again as they are drawn into a favorable group, same happened in WC 2014, and will look to finish as the toppers of the group. On the other hand, Denmark will definitely set their eyes on the second spot.
On papers it seems like France would have an easy run, but the latest FIFA Rankings suggest that this group is one of the most challenging ones :
1. France : 9
2. Peru : 11
3. Denmark : 12
4. Australia : 39
No matter what, it certainly looks like France will top the Group, with Denmark finishing second. But Peru may, and most certainly will give Denmark a tough competition for the second place. Australia most likely look to finish at bottom of the table. France is not only expected to top the group (which they will most certainly), but are also favorites to go all the way and win the prestigious trophy with the quality of players they boast.

France : ANTOINE GRIEZMANN
After being the top scorer and being named the player of the tournament at the UEFA Euro 2016, the French Forward will be looking forward to achieve the same feet next year, and help his team get hands on the prestigious trophy.
Denmark : CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN
He was Denmark’s hero with a scintillating form scoring a total of 11 goals in the qualifying phases, only bettered by Robert Lewandowski & Cristiano Ronaldo. The nation will be expecting a similar run of form in the main tournament from Eriksen.
Peru : JEFFERSON FARFAN
The 33 old was the catalyst to Peru’s qualification with some vital performances in the qualifying phase, and will be looking forward to his first ever World Cup Finals.
Australia : TIM CAHILL
He could enter an elite list of players to have scored in 4 World Cups by scoring in Russia next year. The most important player for the nation, scoring 11 goals in the qualifying phase, will be hoping to produce an upset in the tournament.
