FIFA World Cup 2018 Group G – Analysis

The Groups have been formed and people from all over the world are waiting with anticipation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. No doubt that England and Belgium are the favourites in Group G. On the other hand, Tunisia and Panama possess a difficult challenge to move past the group stages.

With star players like Hazard, Lukaku, De Bruyne in Belgium and Kane, Cahill, Sterling in England- It would be  a delight to watch these European Giants playing against each other.

Key Points:

  • This is the first ever World Cup appearance for Panama.
  • Tunisia were unbeaten throughout their playoff stages and are one of the strongest teams from Africa.
  • Belgium and England were the leaders in their respective playoff groups.
  • According to the latest FIFA ranking, Belgium are the fifth best team in the World, with England ranked 15th, Tunisia 27th and Panama 56th.

Captain of the Belgium Team and a Star player of Chelsea, Hazard is often ranked by coaches, colleagues and commentators as one of the best players in the World.

Harry Kane:

Tottenham Hotspur v Stoke City - Premier League

Unarguably, one of the best player in the Premier League right now. He has scored over 100 goals for Tottenham and has finished as a top scorer for both 2015-16 and 2016-17 Premier League seasons.

Youssef Msakni:

He played a major role for Tunisia in qualifying for the Tournament.

Felipe Baloy:

Captain of the Panama team, he played an integral role for the qualifications.
