Ronaldo speaks about his rivalry with Messi,picks a possible successor of him and Messi.

Cristiano Ronaldo won a historical fifth Ballon d’Or in his illustrious career taking his tally of individual awards above Barcelona’s Lionel Messi. The Madrid star has now won 5 Ballon d’Ors and 4 Golden Boots which is the same as Messi but his 2 FIFA The Best awards make his individual awards tally bigger than Lionel Messi.

When asked about his recent feat He replied:

“I feel happy, it’s a fantastic moment in my career. I’ve have been hoping for this for a long time. This year has been amazing.”“We won the Champions League and LaLiga, while I was the top scorer in the Champions League on a personal level.”

“These trophies help to win these individual prizes and I must say thank you to my Real Madrid and Portugal teammates, who were very important for me.”

When asked about if he would like to change his club as he has achieved everything with Madrid, Cristiano replied:“I am happy at Real Madrid and I want to stay there. I would like to finish my career at Real Madrid if possible.”

Cristiano was asked how many Ballon d’Ors he dreams to win and the Portuguese star answered:“I want seven Ballon d’Or awards and seven children too.” (Laughs)

Ronaldo was asked to pick a successor to him and Leo Messi in the Ballon d’Or race and he replied:

“Neymar has a lot of talent and a lot of potential. I’m sure he’ll have the chance to win this award in the future.”

Lastly, Cristiano was asked about his rivalry with Leo Messi and the Portuguese said:

“I hope that the battle with Messi continues. Things happen for a reason. I feel good this season and we’ll see at the end of the year what we have won.”
