Sindhu looses Gold to Yamaguchi in Dubai Super Series Finals

World No. 3, the Indian Badminton sensation PV Sindhu went down fighting to World No. 2 and the top Seeded Japanese player Akene Yamaguchi in a thrilling Dubai Super Series Finals.The match lasted for about 110 minutes in which Sindhu lost by 21-15,12- 21,21-19. Sindhu, in the first set totally dominated the game and won the first set easily. Initially in 2nd set she was winning the game with 5-0 score, but slowly and slowly she went on playing on the loose shots and gifted the points to Yamaguchi. Akane Yamaguchi came back into the game after loosing the first set and then winning the second set with a good lead.

The deciding set showcased the energy and stamina of both the players, and it also showed us some amazing shots and dives with full of long rallies fighting for each single point. In last Akane Yamaguchi came out as a champion and lifted the cup.

It was the second meeting between these two players in this tournament. Earlier in group stages PV Sindhu defeated Yamaguchi in two straight set with the score of 21-9 and 21-13, unfortunately she was not able to convert this Final as a winning final.
