The 2008 team comprised of many great players, starting from the Goalkeeper, Van Der Stark was one of the best at that time. Vidic, Evra and Ferdinand were impenetrable as a defence unit. In midfield, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Micheal Owen sprinkled their magic on the field and with forwards like Cristiano Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez, the squad had a lot of firepower in the front as well.

Meanwhile, Rooney who now plays for Everton also added “I don’t think that they (Manchester City) can go unbeaten. They have done incredibly well with the run they have been on but the Premier League is so difficult, especially now with Christmas Period coming up”
