Barcelona’s love for Brazilians is never lost as they have managed to have at least one Brazilian in their squad for the past decade. All of them made it big at Barcelona making Barcelona the major launchpad for most of the Brazilian legends. They command huge respect in the Barcelona squad and the same is expected from the Brazilian Philippe Coutinho. Brazilians who have played for have enjoyed successful spells, winning individual trophies at bigger platforms.

#5 Ronaldo Nazario de Lima

There is not point talking about the international career of Brazilian Ronaldo which simply makes him a legend. His transfer 1996 from PSV costed Barcelona a sum of 19.5 million dollars.

During his time for Barcelona he smashed the ball 47 times into the net in 49 games.

Netting 34 goals in 37 games, Ronaldo won the award for most goals in La Liga in 1997, later winning the European Golden Shoe.

He helped Barca claim the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, the Copa Del Rey and the Supercopa De Espana trophies, also winning the FIFA World Best Player award in 1996 for himself.

Although an accomplished legend, his short tenure for the club makes us keep him at #5.

#4 Rivaldo Ferreira

Who can forget his bicycle kick goal against Valencia at Camp Nou, a treat to watch for every football fan.

He arrived from Deportivo La Coruna as a potential replacement for Ronaldo Nazario.

He didn’t let the fans down as he went on to score 130 goals for Barcelona during his 5 year stay at the club from 1997 to 2002.

He helped his club win La Liga and Copa Del Rey and eventually went to win FIFA World Player of the Year and Ballon d’Or in 1999.

#3 Neymar Jr.

The N of the fierce MSN, this player is known for his exceptional dribbling and freestyling with the ball.

He tore apart defences at will, the 6-1 PSG comeback is the biggest example, where he snatched the game away from the opposition in just 7 minutes.

An integral part of Luis Enrique’s treble winning team, this player scored 105 goals during his 4 year stay. He had been nominated twice for the Ballon d’Or in 2015 and 2017 based on his Barcelona performance.

Unarguably one of the best right back the world has ever seen. He came to Camp Nou in 2008 for £23 million.

The architect of modern Barcelona. He is one of the most respected players at the club and one of those of few who have recieved a standing ovation from the Bernabeu fans.

His role in making Lio Messi, what he is today is talked about very often.

He solved Barcelona’s crisis by winning the league title in his second season and then winning UEFA Champions League and many other trophies before leaving for AC Milan.

Before he left, he won the Ballon d’Or, FIFA World Player Of The Year, European Player Of The Year and much more personal glories.
