Evergreen Claudio Pizarro becomes the Bundesliga’s fourth-oldest goalscorer

Seven minutes on the pitch and Claudio Pizarro netted his first goal for Koln, taking his -tally of goals to 192 goals. With this goal, the 39-years old also queued up in the line with Miroslav Votava, Manfred Burgsmüller and Morten Olsen on the list of seasoned scorers in Germany’s top flight.


Besides netting for Bayern Munich in his final season in 2014-15, Pizarro has scored at least one goal in all calendar years since his first strike for Werder Bremen in the 1999/2000.

The Peruvian could also get a chance to appear in the upcoming World Cup.
