Cristiano Ronaldo Joins Ruud Van Nistelrooy In Elite Club after goal against PSG

Cristiano Ronaldo just proved one more time that when it comes to scoring in Uefa Champions League there’s no one close to him and this season is no different as he scored for Real Madrid in their Champions League last-16 clash with Paris Saint-Germain.

Madrid were already holding a 3-1 advantage from the first leg at the Bernabeu and the Portuguese superstar extended it in 51st minute with a powerful header at smoky parc des princes.

Ronaldo has now scored in nine consecutive matches in the Champions League. Only one other player has achieved such a feat in Europe’s premier competition.

Who? His former team-mate at Manchester United, Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Incredibly, Ronaldo’s goal in Paris was his 14th across those nine games. Van Nistelrooy only managed 12 goals by comparison. To add to this ridiculous statistic, Ronaldo is now averaging a goal every 60 minutes in the Champions League.
Real Madrid are defending champions and looking forward to win their third consecutive Uefa Champions League and their 13th in total.
