AC Milan lost 0-2 against premier league side Arsenal in the first leg of last 32 of Uefa Europa league. Goals scored by Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Aaron Ramsey.
Rossoneri ‘s defender Bonucci felt that it was the lack of mentality that did not lead to result in the favour of the home side against Arsenal.
“We did not have the right mentality right from the beginning, we were scared because we were so young. Let’s hope we learn from this”. said Leonardo Bonucci
Alessio Romagnoli who was along Bonucci on the back also believes that they had not been strong enough at the back.
“We started well but certain plays favoured them. We conceded two silly goals and end up with a negetive result”. said Romagnoli
Milan played with a great courage in the second half but was not enough to turn the game as the Wenger man dominated the play in all aspects.
AC Milan ended their 13 matches unbeaten run at San Siro, Milan tried to up the tempo after the break, wasting a clear early chance to pull one back when Giacomo Bonaventura spooned over the bar.
The two away goals now make the Gunners firm favourites to reach the quarter-finals after next Thursday’s second leg at Emirates Stadium.
